I was debating whether to ride Keene or on Zwift. They predicted 90 degree weather, so I decided to ride in doors. Turns out that it was only in the low 80's. Oh well. I chose the Makuri Island Chain Chomp route. It was the perfect workout. A bit of exploring and some good efforts on the timed sections. I started with modest tempo. Spinning the legs for about 10 minutes. There's two uphill timed sections. I wasn't trying on the first lap. Mostly relaxing and taking things in. I think it was about 8.5 miles per lap. On the second lap, I decided to put in some digs. The first climb was good, I could have gotten the KOM, but I missed the start marker. I missed first by 1 second. About a minute or two later, I got the KOM jersey because the first place winner logged off. The second section was all in. I was at maximum over the top. I got the KOM on that one. About 30 seconds later, my right quad was cramping a bit. So, I put it in my easy gears and spun for a while. It wasn't till a few minutes later when I put it in my smallest gears did the cramp subside. From there, I cooled down until I reached over 18 miles. Concentration was real good. The scenery was captivating. The new laptop performed great. Delivering good frame rates and no lag. Balance and form was good. I was on top of the pedals while in and out of the saddle. Ailments were minimal. Just the leg cramping a bit after the last big effort. Nutrition was good. I had about 3/4 of my Gatorade. No water. Gear worked flawless. Other notes, there were about 1000 riders on this map today.
