Today was nice and cool, but comfortable. In the low 50's sunny skies, winds from the north-west. I wore 1 base layer, and arms. I felt good from the get-go. It didn't take me long to get warmed up. I don't remember what time I did to Route 202, but it must have been average. At least that's what it felt like. Going out on Highline, there was a tail-cross wind. I did mostly moderate tempo. Some increases in tempo and lesser as well. Today was just a ride to get under the legs. Knowing that I was going to have a headwind on the way back, kept that in mind. When I reached WS, I did the usual u-ee. Commenced the return leg with easy tempo. I split the landmarks into 3 places. Approximately in thirds. I increased the tempo as the markers went by. Out of the saddle when necessary, but mostly in the saddle. I gave it a push over the top, and finished the last kicker in good tempo. The remainder was fun and games. It was getting cold towards the end of the ride, but I think I made it home just in time. Concentration was great today. I had some things I needed to sort out in my mind, so that helped a lot. Ailments were next to none. Balance and form was good today, some leaning here and there. I think better than the last time I did this route. Still some room for improvement. Gear is working well, no issues. Other notes, I was chased by a dog as I was making my way up the mile riser on Highline. I was tempted to hit him in the face, but decided not to as aggravating him would hasten his anger. I saw 2 gliders as I was making my way through the turn-around point.
