Today was a cold one, but not too bad. There was a forecast for rain in the afternoon. Fortunately it held up. It was in the mid 40's / 50ish. I wore 1 base layer, arms, knees, skull cap, full gloves. I felt pretty good out the door. My original plan was to go to WS and back. But after making it to the end of OTR, I noticed the clouds starting to move in from the West. So, I changed my plan. I ended up going to the summit of the Banducci wall, back, then down to Highline a bit. I was thinking of just going to the summit and back. But after making it to the top, I felt like I had more left in me and I didn't feel like turning around so soon. I decided to go no further than half way to WS. That's pretty much what I did. All in all, I think it added a good 6 to 7 miles to the ride. There was another rider on Highline that bridged. Somewhat of a carrot, I think he gave me incentive to go an extra mile. After reaching the turn around point, I could see darker clouds rolling in from the west. This gave me incentive to get back home. I did good tempo on the return leg on HIghline. After reaching OTR on the return, I knew I was going to be ok. At this point, the sun was obscured, so the temperature dropped significantly. Fortunately, I had enough clothing to last the remainder of the ride. My concentration was good. There were some lingering gremlins, but nothing I couldn't handle. Balance and form felt good. I was on top of the pedals and felt good symmetry. Ailments were none. Gear is working well, no problems there. Other notes, I was surprised to find another cyclist out there. Even more, he was wearing shorts. I think he was out for a quick ride.
