I'm feeling a bit sluggish. Apparently, I haven't recovered 100% from the previous ride. I had stuff to do as well. I got out around 10:15 AM. The weather is on the hot side and the air quality is bad. I headed out to Highline. I made it to the end of OTR in average time. I was taking it easy. I made my way to Highline and did no more than moderate tempo to the summit. When I was approaching the summit, I noticed plumes of smoke in the distance. When I reached the summit, I noticed that there as a small brush fire. I pulled over at a safe distance to took some photos and videos. I was about to call 911, but by the time I got my phone out, the fire department was already there. After sitting there for a few minutes, I headed back home. Concentration was ok. I was a bit on the impatient and not so recovered side. Nonetheless, I accomplished what I set out to do. Balance and form was good. Ailments were minimal. Gear worked perfect. I kept the battery bank attached to the bike and used that to keep the battery charge on the GoPro. It remained fully charged for the duration of the ride. Nutrition was good. I had no hunger signs. I went through about 1/2 my Gatorade. No water. Other notes, no cyclists today.
