Today's weather was cold, but not freezing. Low 40's, winds from the North West. I wore 2 base layers, including a long sleeve jersey. Arms, Legs, Head, Face, Full Gloves. I was sluggish in the start. It took me till the top the descent to get warmed up. I cruised the downhill, coasting most of the way down. After reaching the base of the climb, I commenced the ascent immediately. I felt average to start and got better as the climb went on. I stopped by the Chavez center to adjust my leg warmers. After that, it was all business. I did mostly moderate to good tempo. No digs today. I used my 32T more than usual. The weather felt great on the ascent. I felt comfortable. Not a whole lot to tell about this ride, mostly steady tempo, no heroics. My concentration was spot on. In the zone almost 100%. Ailments included slight lower back pain. It was well within my tolerances and didn't require too much adjustment in my tempo. Balance and form felt good today. I'm now used to wearing extra clothing. Gear is working well, no complaints. Although the HR and cadence sensors weren't working at the start. When I reached the top of the descent, I performed a search for the HR sensor. The computer picked it up. I don't think the speed sensor was detected. But I had GPS, so no worries there. Other notes, I saw one other cyclist ascending as I was on my way down. Too far ahead of me to be a carrot.
