Estimated Time shows a prediction of how long it would take you to ride a given route. This number is based on your recent riding history, and represents an estimate of moving time. Each time you upload a new ride, your Estimated Time profile will adjust to reflect your most recent riding. Only rides exceeding 10 miles (16 km) will affect these estimates.

A fantastic day to go to Keene. I got up a bit late, but the temperature warmed up in my favor by the time I got out. The legs felt good to start. The wind was very calm today. At least till I reached the summit of the descent. It turned South when I got there. This was my second ride with my new smartphone. I wanted to test it out to see how the data throughput behaves and the quality of the camera. I stopped at the top of the descent. The smartphone didn't get a good signal on the up. The download signal was sufficient. I made it to the summit in good time. I cruised the downhill till I reached the Loop Monument. I took some photos and check the throughput of the smartphone. The data rate was exceptional. I was getting over 50 Mbps on the down and somewhere in the ballpark of 10 to 20 Mbps on the down. I cruised my way to the base. Checking the smartphone one more time. The download was 17.2 Mbps, but the upload was only 0.28 Mbps. From there I headed back. The legs felt good. It didn't take much till my climbing legs got warmed up. The ride went fast. It felt like I was ticking over the landmarks in rapid succession. I stopped once to take a short video of the train passing through the base of the loop. The train was looping in on itself as the engine emerged from the lower tunnel. I got back on my bike and finished the ascent. I was listening to my music. Mitigating the suffering just a bit. I was doing high tempo over the summit, reaching near max in the HR. From there I was able to relax and recover till I got back home. Concentration was good. I had a few things to think about and the music helped. Also testing out the smartphone kept me occupied. Gear worked perfect. Balance and form was good. Ailments were minimal. Some hand numbness while out of the saddle. Nutrition was good. I fed a Cliff Bar before I left. I think it was the right decision. I had no hunger signs. I drank about half my Gatorade, no water. Other notes, no other cyclists today. Just a few tourists at the loop monument.
