Estimated Time shows a prediction of how long it would take you to ride a given route. This number is based on your recent riding history, and represents an estimate of moving time. Each time you upload a new ride, your Estimated Time profile will adjust to reflect your most recent riding. Only rides exceeding 10 miles (16 km) will affect these estimates.

I decided on a big ride today. The weather is cold, the wind was mild from the North West. I wore the standard cold kit, minus the jacket, face mask and toe warmers. The legs felt good to start. Didn't take much time to get warmed up. I posted a good time to the summit of OTR. The Banducci Wall went fast. There was some traffic mitigation. I did no less than moderate tempo to the summit of Banducci. I took a few moments rest when I got there. I took some photos then headed down the mountain. On the second turn-out, the view looked great, so I decided to stop to take photos. Shortly after, I finished the descent. The trek through the farmlands was steady tempo. Mostly above 15 MPH going into the wind. I made my way around the backside of SS. I pulled over when I reached the summit. I checked my smartphone for the download / upload speed. It registered at about 7.5% on the down and above 2% on the up. I hoped back on my bike and headed into town. I reached the tunnel in about 1:02 hours. I zipped through town and made my way back to the farmland roads. I had a tailwind on the way back, as was anticipated. I was experiencing some signs of hunger. So, reluctantly, I pulled over less than a quarter mile into Pellisier to feed. I fed about 2/3rds of a Cliff Bar. I washed it down with a sip of Gatorade and water. I was down to about the last quarter bottle of Gatorade, I kept that in mind as I continued. I reached Boss Hogs in about 1:25 hours. So, I gave up just 3 minutes on the return. When I reached the last climb, I decided to feed the remainder of the Cliff Bar without pulling over. I was needing to do a Bio break, but decided that I would be able to make it home in time. My calculations were correct, but just barely. The last climb was mostly high tempo. I felt good in the legs and was able to put some wattages into the pedals. After reaching the summit, I pulled over to swap out the GoPro battery. From there, I got back on the road and made my way to Route 202. There was some traffic mitigation. I ended up merging with traffic from behind to make the left hander onto OTR. From there, it was mostly fun and games. I made it home safely. Concentration was good. The morale was good from the start. The music kept me company. I had some things to think about. Ailments were minimal. Some hand soreness. Gear worked perfect. Balance and form was good. Nutrition was good. But, just barely. I could have used an extra bottle of Gatorade. The Cliff Bar that I fed got me home safe. Other notes, I saw two cyclists today.
