I got lucky today. It was supposed to start raining for 3 or 4 days consecutive. When I got up from my morning nap, I noticed the weather looked great for riding. I took advantage and got out. It was in the mid 60's, winds from the North-West. I wore the standard kit, 1 base layer. I felt good from the start. I made it to the end of OTR in good time. I think the wind was a bit stronger today than the previous Tour de Teh ride. Hence the slower average speed. When I got to Banducci, I started the climb moderate, then good, then I had to push if over the top because there was traffic behind waiting to pass. I recovered on the false flat and kept good tempo to the summit with no digs. I took a 30 second break, let the traffic go by, and had fun on the downhill. I reached about 41+ MPH. Fun stuff! The trek to SS was mostly moderate, I was conserving some energy for later and I didn't want to push my body too hard this early. I made it to SS in good time, kept my tempo steady over the summit. Recovered on the downhill and put good tempo through SS. Exiting SS to Banducci started modest. Bumped it up to moderate & good tempo. Working on my form all the while. After making it through Pelisser, I stretched, took a breather, let the sore muscles recover. I did moderate tempo all the way to the last climb. I made it to Boss Hogs in under 1:20 hrs. I did good tempo up the last climb, pushing the pace here and there. No digs over the top. When I reached the false flat section, I held back more than I normally do. Letting my muscles recover. The remainder was fun and games, pushing over Mariposa and Weston. Concentration was spot on. Few gremlins. Ailments consisted of left quad soreness near the hip joint. Some right hand numbness. Balance and form felt pretty good, although I was having to put some thought into it. Gear is working well. Some noises from the bike. The tracking app doesn't seem to be working according to mom and dad. More investigating needed. Other notes, the wild flowers are in bloom. It looks amazing at the base of Banducci.
My weight continues to hover around 145 lbs.
