Estimated Time shows a prediction of how long it would take you to ride a given route. This number is based on your recent riding history, and represents an estimate of moving time. Each time you upload a new ride, your Estimated Time profile will adjust to reflect your most recent riding. Only rides exceeding 10 miles (16 km) will affect these estimates.

It's cold out, I wasn't in the mood for outdoor riding. Zwift to the rescue. I chose the Watopia mountain loop. It took a few moments to get the gear paired with Zwift. Once I got it up and running it was smooth sailing. I didn't go into this ride with the intention of settings a PR. So, I started modest. I was sufficiently warmed up by the time I reached the base of the climb. I started with 2.5 to 3 W/kg. When I reached the bridge, I sat in the saddle for most of the crossing. After reaching the end, I got out of the saddle and got into climbing mode. Most of the climb was out of the saddle. I was in the saddle to relax the legs, hands and wipe sweat. The climb was steady tempo. No sudden accelerations. The wattage was around 3 W/kg most of the time. Plus or minus 0.5 W/kg, depending on the gradient and while in or out of the saddle. I was listening to the music and asking myself where would I be in the next few songs. It helped the miles go by. When I reached the tunnel, I noticed that I was doing good time. I kept the tempo going. No accelerations. I had a drafting power up. I used it on the last dip. I was able to push it just a bit more on the last quarter mile or so. To my surprise, I posted a 30 day PR at the summit. I think I got 40-something out of 120-something riders.
From there, I made my way to the KQOM radio station climb. I was in my lowest gear going up the 15% plus gradients. I was within my limits and didn't have to redline to keep up the pace. But, I was getting near my limit at the top. From there, it was the descent back into town. When I got there, I tried to keep the tempo going. Mostly in the saddle. I put in a good dig through the sprint zone. Not exactly buckling the knees. I had a drafting power up, so I used it there. It took just a few minutes to get back to the start / finish. After making it there, I began the gradual cooldown. I stopped after the HR reached 112 BPM. Concentration was good. The music helped. Balance and form felt good. Ailments, some hand numbness. Sitting in the saddle and shaking them helped. Gear worked perfect after taking the time to pair everything. Nutrition was good. No hunger signs. I consumed about 1/2 my Gatorade, no water. Other notes, there were about 4000 riders when I hopped on.
