Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.
Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.
Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.

Estimated Time shows a prediction of how long it would take you to ride a given route. This number is based on your recent riding history, and represents an estimate of moving time. Each time you upload a new ride, your Estimated Time profile will adjust to reflect your most recent riding. Only rides exceeding 10 miles (16 km) will affect these estimates.

Today's weather was warmer. In the upper 70's, winds from the south. I had mixed feelings about today's weather. The warmer temperature was tolerable. The direction of the wind was good for the short climb to the top of the descent. Easier to get warmed up. The descent was fun. Reaching 5mph faster than normal. I probably reached the base in good time. The return trip was good and bad. The bad, was that the wind was full on into the face. So, about 30% more difficult than normal. The good, was that it kept me from overheating. With that set aside. I was pushing the limit on the climb. I was on my lowest gear for a good chunk of the climb. I kept the tempo steady. Making a slight push over the loop monument. From there I was getting in and out of the saddle to keep the tempo going. Somewhere about half way up the climb, my right calf muscle started to cramp just slightly. I was able to mitigate the escalation by stretching at every moment. I think the cramp manifested due to the fact that I had to push harder than normal, warmer weather and wind conditions combined. Concentration was good today, minimal gremlins today. I was in the zone for the most part. Ailments consisted of the usual exhaustion and right calf (sharp) soreness, somewhat cramping. Balance and form felt good. Although, I had to put some effort and attention into it. Gear is working well. The Garmin computer had problems at the start. This seems to be a re-occurring problem. The computer seems to change the page configuration. So, today I had the calories burned, when I should have shown the elapsed time. I ended up fiddling with the page configuration and got it back to the way it was. Cadence sensor is working since the last ride. A change of batteries seems to have worked. Other notes, I got my new Sugoi jersey today. It's red and black and near identical fit as the previous. Thus far, I approve. Although, I think I'm going to return one of them for a different color.
