Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.
Estimated Time shows a prediction of how long it would take you to ride a given route. This number is based on your recent riding history, and represents an estimate of moving time. Each time you upload a new ride, your Estimated Time profile will adjust to reflect your most recent riding. Only rides exceeding 10 miles (16 km) will affect these estimates.

Elite smart trainer ride. Today was the first time I was able to ride my new smart trainer and have it working properly. It took about 5 minutes to setup and I had no issues. I think the trick was to remove as many wireless devices from the training area. I was able to confirm that you know when the trainer is working if you get a solid red light on the unit when pairing it with the software. Such was the case today. I chose the London course. I was able to do 2 laps totaling a virtual 27.4 miles. The course was mostly rolling with a good climb in between. It was an immersive experience. The best on any stationary trainer I've ridden to date. I still have some trouble-shooting to do. I noticed that the configuration squeaks a lot while putting the power down. Either it's the skewer that was provided, or something else. Overall, I felt comfortable. The sensation of inertia is not perfect, but enough to feel like a genuine ride. I was able to get my HR above 150 today. I attribute that to the fact that the trainer had variable resistances. Notably, the climbs. It really felt like I was going uphill and I had to downshift to accomodate. I warmed up for about 20 to 30 minutes and then was able to put the power down. I felt good on the climbs, it was a familiar sensation that I enjoy. There were likely over 100 riders in the virtual world. Of many capabilities. The scenery was realistic. I was able to see where I was headed and get the mind thinking I want to keep the power down till I reach that mark in the road. There's supposed to be a drafting effect when near other riders. I felt it, but it was very subtle. Perhaps because I was going less than 20MPH for the majority of the ride. I look forward to the next training session. Hopefully on another map of equal immersion. Two thumbs up!
