Wow! The weather has cooled off quite a bit. So much that I had to wear arms and knees. Winds were from the North West. The legs felt good from the start. I made it to the summit of the descent in good time. I cruised the downhill. I pulled over to take some photos of a new camp site.
I Put in two digs on the risers. I made it to the base in about 29 minutes or so. The climb was a game of patience. I had sufficient clothing and didn't need to take anything off. There was minimal traffic mitigation. After the first landmark, the remaining went faster. The climbing legs settled in by that time. The bike feels good. I was thinking of raising the saddle ever so slightly, will have to wait and see. I reached the summit in 1:09 hours. After reaching the summit, I took a few moments rest and then headed back home. I shut it down after reaching the summit of Weston. Concentration was good. A bit impatient at times. Ailments, minimal hand numbness. I alternated between two hand positions while out of the saddle. It seemed to help. But the cool weather helped too. Gear worked flawless. The bike feels wonderful. Balance and form was good. Nutrition was good. I went through about half my Gatorade, no water. Other notes, no cyclists today. There were some people at the Loop Monument. The motorcyclists and ATVrs were nice.
Other notes, over the last mile, I increased the tempo till I reached the summit. I was near max over the top.
