It's a great day to get out! Weather is on the cool side, around 70'ish tops. Winds were calm. Perhaps a bit from the South East. I got out as early as I could to beat the wind. (I succeeded at that). I made it to the summit of WTR in good time. I cruised the downhill. I stopped once to take a photo of the local train that was parked on the track. Almost as if it were posing for a photo. From there, I headed down the mountain. I reached the base in about 26 minutes or so. I headed back without delay. The climb went fast. I was thinking to myself, pretending, that I had a ways to go. Say, to WS. It gave me a bit of perspective and keep the patience in check. The landmarks ticked by reasonably quick. Both in perception and time. The morale felt better after each landmark that I passed. I kept the momentum going over the top. From there, I headed to OTR. Somewhat of a bonus addition. The legs were good. I was able to climb OTR in no less than moderate tempo. I was in and out of the saddle to keep my momentum going. After reaching the summit, I turned around and headed back with no delay. Concentration was good. Minimal gremlins or lapses. The patience felt good. Balance and form was good. Ailments, the usual right hand numbness while out of the saddle. Alternating hand positions on the hoods helped too. Nutrition was good. I was drinking the sport drink before water. The GI was in agreement. I drank most of the sport drink and some water. Gear worked flawless. I bought a new power meter, pending delivery this Friday. Other notes, no cyclists today. There were a bunch of motorcyclists riding through Keene. They appeared to be friendly.
