Estimated Time shows a prediction of how long it would take you to ride a given route. This number is based on your recent riding history, and represents an estimate of moving time. Each time you upload a new ride, your Estimated Time profile will adjust to reflect your most recent riding. Only rides exceeding 10 miles (16 km) will affect these estimates.

Today was a mixed bag of things. I got out a bit past 8AM. The GI was a bit queasy before departing. I ended up taking some pepto before starting the ride. It helped calm down the nausea. The first 30 minutes was abismal. It felt like someone had robbed the air of oxygen. Somewhat of a sickly feeling. The thing that got me through the ride was my mental strength more than anything. That and experience. Suffice it to say, after about 45 to 50 minutes, the mind and body began to respond better. I made it the end of OTR in average time. I kept the tempo steady on the way out to WS. I stopped once to take a quick bio. After reaching WS, I headed back without delay. The return trip was more enjoyable. At this point, the nausea had subsided and I was able to concentrate on the task at hand. I kept the tempo steady. The push over the Dragon Back climb was quite good. I was able to push it. I made my way to the Banducci Wall. It felt good. I was within myself the entire way. I recovered on the flats and then headed to the summit. There was some traffic mitigation, but not too detracting. After reaching the summit, I pulled over to recover. I hydrated, let traffic by, and then headed back down the mountain. The descent off the Banducci Wall was fun, but there was some traffic mitigation, so I was on high alert. From there, I headed down OTR. Mostly fun and games. I stopped once to pet the local horses and then headed back home. (I had to stop near the Tom Sawyer Lake to swap out the GoPro battery). After reaching the summit of Weston, I shut it down. Concentration was a mixture. The morale wasn't too good going into the ride. Starting with a bad GI didn't help. It got better as the ride progressed. Ailments were minimal. Other than the nausea, the usual right hand numbness while out of the climb. I tried my best to alternate positions while out of the saddle. Nutrition was good. No hunger signs. I drank mostly water and a bit of sport drink. Balance and form was good. Gear worked flawless. I am going to get a Stages power meter today. Pending delivery. Other notes, I saw about 3 cyclists today.
