I managed to get up early enough to avoid the summer heat. Temperature was in the 70's, winds from the North West. I had the lazy head feeling for the first 20 minutes of the ride. I made it to the summit of OTR in good average time. The Banducci Wall had some traffic mitigation. By the time I reached the top, it felt like I drank dark coffee. I was near my limit going over the top. The Arosa climb felt good. The landmarks went quick. I was feeling more alert at this point. I was near max at the summit. The HR sensor was off, but I was at around 155 to 160 BPM. I made my way around the backside and then to the summit. I took one minute to recover, and then headed back down the mountain. It was mostly safe. After making it back to OTR, it was mostly fun and games. I pushed over Mariposa and shut it down at the top of Weston.
Concentration was good. I had a few things to think about. My patience was not the best in the first 20 minutes of the ride. I had to let the lazy head feeling wake up, after that it was more enjoyable. Balance and form was good. Nutrition was good. I drank most of my sport drink, no water. Gear worked flawlessly. Other notes, I saw one e-Biker.
