The weather is warmer. I was reluctant to get out, but managed to do so. I got out around 9:30-ish in the morning. The legs were heavy to start. I was planning on going to the top of OTR and then to Keene, but then I changed my mind. I went to the summit of Banducci and then the Bufallo Run. I didn’t bother checking my time to the summit of OTR, but likely average time at best. I wasn’t in a hurry. The Banducci Wall had some traffic mitigation. I stayed within my self, using the small gears. More of the same to the summit of Banducci. Some traffic mitigation and doing moderate tempo. Afte reaching the summit, I took some time to recover. I let traffic by and then headed back down the mountain. It was mostly safe with minimal traffic from behind. After reaching the base, I headed to the Buffalo Run. The legs felt better, the wind was on my back, so time went quick. I made my way around and then back to OTR. The descent off OTR was mostly fun and games. No rushing. I pushed over Mariposa and shut it down at the top of Weston.
Concentration was good. The morale is what helped the most. I was reluctant to get out today, glad I did, though. I will do the Keene route on the next rid. Balance and form was good. Ailments were minimal. Just some mild hand numbness. Gear worked flawlessly. Nutrition was good, but I was started to get hunger signs. I drank most of my sport drink with a few sips of water. Other notes, I saw one mountain biker as I was ascending Mariposa.
