The weather is a bit on the cool side. It’s cloudy and in the low / mid 60’s. I wore the standard fall kit, minus the head cap. The legs were a bit sore to start. By the time I reached OTR, they felt better. I made it to the top of OTR in good average time. The Banducci Wall had some traffic mitigation. I was within my limits going over the top. The Arosa climb felt a bit more at ease. The landmarks went quick. I was able to keep my patience in check. I made m way around the backside and had fun on the downhill. After making it to the summit of Banducci, I pulled over to feed a Clif Bar and recover. I let traffic by and then headed back down the mountain. There was no traffic from behind, so it felt safe. I was able to let the brakes go while descending off the Banducci Wall. I kept it safe by feathering around the corner. After that, I headed to the top of Highline. I had a tailwind on the way up, so it went by quickly. I zipped around the Buffalo neighborhood and then back to Highline for the return and onto OTR. Descending off OTR was relaxing. There was traffic from behind, so I gave it a bit more till I reached the flatter part to let them by. I pushed over Mariposa, legs feeling a bit sluggish. Then to the top of Weston where I shut it down to cool down.
Concentration was good. The morale felt pretty good. I was a bit reluctant to get up, but managed to do it. I had few lapses and no gremlins worth mentioning. Balance and form felt good. Ailments, the usual hand soreness / numbness. Nutrition was good. I had a bowl of oatmeal for breakfast. Gear worked flawlessly. I am tempted to service the bottom bracket as it continues to exhibit the mystery clicks. Other notes, no cyclists or runners today.
