The weather warmed up a bit and it's windy. Winds from the South East. I got up a bit later than I would have liked, but it let the weather to warm up, making it more comfortable. I wore the standard summer kit. The legs felt pretty good to start. I made it to the summit of OTR in good average time. The Banducci Wall had some traffic mitigation. I was near max going over the top. The Arosa climb went quick. I was at the speed bumps before I knew it. I was at max going over the top. I zipped around the backside, while being cautious on the descent due to the turbulent wind condition. After making it to the summit of Banducci, I took a few moments to recover. I let traffic by and then headed back down the mountain. It was mostly safe with minimal traffic from behind. The wind was turbulent. I let traffic by before descending off the Banducci Wall. I played it safe and feathered the brakes on the way down. From there, I headed to the top of Highline and around the Buffalo neighborhood. I hopped back on Highline for the return and then to the OTR descent. I pushed over Mariposa and to the top of Weston where I shut it down.
Concentration was good. I was in the zone most of the time with few lapses and no gremlins worth mentioning. I had a few things to think about, and it helped. Balance and form was good. Nutrition was good. I had a big bowl of oat meal for breakfast and half a banana, grapes and apple sauce as a snack before the ride. I fed a Clif Bar on the last 25 minutes of the ride. Ailments were minimal. Just the usual hand soreness. Gear worked flawlessly. The new bottom bracket should arrive in the next few days. Will see if that clears up the mystery clicks that are still present. Other notes, I saw one familiar recumbent cyclist and one or two walkers.
