I'm continuing to have gastro issues. Today was the first time in a few days that I was able to ride out-doors. I'm still sore in the sides. Sort of feels like I've just recovered from the flue. I decided to take it easy. Gradually step it up as the body recovers. OTR was the perfect ride. The legs better than average to start. They were more responsive than I anticipated. It was the body soreness that held me back. That and what I knew was good for me. IE, no red-lining, but steady tempo. As I was riding, I made my way to the quick right hander onto OTR. About a hundred or yards, or two, the GoPro went flying off my bars and tumbled on the ground. I slowed down, turned around and retrieved it. After inspection, it was just the case the got scratched. The camera went into file repair mode. I let it repair for a few moments. And then reattached it to the mount. The cause, I attached the camera to the wrong mount. I was wondering why it felt loose when I attached it. I should have taken a closer look. A lesson learned. I turned the camera on, started recording. It continued without problems. I reached the top of OTR in good average time. I turned around at the top and headed back. As I was heading down OTR, there was a school bus that was stopped on the opposite lane. It had its hazard lights on as they normally do when they pull over to let passengers off. I slowed down to assess the situation. I didn't see the "Stop" sign displayed. I assumed it was just finished letting passengers off. So, I approached very cautiously. The passengers were chatting among themselves, but didn't seem to be in distress. The bus driver was being vocal. I think I got it on camera, will have to check to see what it shows. Shortly after, made my way up Mariposa. There was a firetruck that was going into the direction of OTR. No telling if it was coinsidence. Will have to check the local news. Has me wondering... From that point, it was mostly modest tempo to home. Concentration was good, not great. Just being able to get out lifted my morale. Ailments. As said, general soreness in the body. Inhibiting at that. Balance and form felt good. Gear worked flawless. Less mystery clicks this time. I've since reset the stem bolts. Other notes, I saw one other cyclist today.
