The body continues to be a bit sore. It's also getting warmer. In the 80's now. I decided to go to the Loop Monument and back. It was hotter than I anticipated, so I was adjusting my tempo. That and the body soreness were the limiting factors. I kept the HR below 150. I reached the summit of the descent in just below average time. To be expected. I cruised the downhill till I reached the Loop Monument. From there, I turned around and headed back up. The sides were a bit sore and it affected my breathing. So, I was having to put it in one or two gears smaller than normal. I took the patient approach. No red-lining. No sudden accelerations. I was near the limit of my comfort zone. But I held it together. I reached the summit in about what I expected, in terms of duration. From there I recovered on the downhill and headed back home. Concentration was good for the most part. All things considered. Ailments. Side soreness, right hand numbness. Balance and form felt good. Gear worked flawless. I think the bike was exhibiting less mystery clicks. Although, I wasn't paying attention. Other notes, no cyclists. No spectators at the Loop Monument.
