The weather is fantastic! On the slightly cold side. Say, 50 degrees. Winds from the North West. I wore arms, knees, head cap, face mask, two thick base layers with newspaper in the jersey, and my face mask to cover my neck. Turned out the be the perfect combination of clothing. The legs felt pretty good to start. It didn't take much time to get warmed up. I made it to the top of OTR in good average time. The Banducci Wall had some traffic mitigation. I was near max going over the top, but had matches remaining. I completed the remainder of the climb while doing no less than moderate tempo. After reaching the summit, I took a few moments to recover. I let traffic by and then headed down the mountain. There was traffic ahead, so I had to watch my proximity. After reaching the base, I made my way through the farmlands. I stopped at the local power station to take a quick bio. From there, I made my way to the last climb while going through the farmlands. I made it to Boss Hogs in about 1:03 hours. So, I gave up about 3 minutes on the return. The last climb went quick. I was listening to my music while guessing how many songs it would take to make it to the summit. I guessed right. I was doing no less than moderate tempo to the summit. After cresting the summit, I pulled over to feed. I had a Clif Bar with some water. From there, I took a quick video of the local cows and then made my way to Route 202. Route 202 had some traffic mitigation, so I had to let them by before merging to the left turn onto OTR. Descending off OTR was enjoyable. I stopped at the bottom of the descent to take photos of the local animals. I made my way up Mariposa and then to the top of Weston where I shut it down.
Concentration as good. My patience was in check. The morale felt good going into the ride. I had minimal lapses and no gremlins worth mentioning. Balance and form was good. Ailments were minimal. Just the usual hand soreness. Nutrition was good. I had a bowl of oatmeal with half a banana and some grapes for breakfast, before departing. Gear worked flawlessly. She's riding very quiet, such a treat. Other notes, I saw two cyclists that I bridged up to on OTR. We road together for a couple minutes before their ride ended.
