They predicted rain for tonight with a slight chance of rain during the daytime. It looked clear enough for me, so I gambled to ride outdoors. Turned out to be the right decision. It's in the 40's, winds from the North West. I wore the standard winter kit. The legs felt good to start. I made it to the summit of OTR in good average time. From there, I headed to the top of Highline, aided by a tailwind. I zipped around the Buffalo Neighborhood and then back to Highline for the return. I had a headwind on the way back, so I had to be patient while climbing my way back to OTR. Descending off OTR was enjoyable. I pushed over Mariposa and then the dig to the top of Weston where I shut it down.
Concentration was good. The morale felt pretty good. I had minimal lapses and no gremlins to mention. Perhaps I was a bit impatient on a few occasions. Balance and form was good. Ailments were minimal. Just the usual hand soreness. Nutrition was good. I had a bowl of oatmeal, some grapes and plantains for breakfast. Gear worked flawlessly. I ordered a new front derailleur cable and matching grommet. ETA, next week. Other notes, no cyclists today.
