It’s a great day to get out. The sky is blue, in the low 50’s. Mild winds from the North West. I did the Buffalo Run today. The legs felt average to start but didn't take much to get warmed up. I moved my saddle forward by about an 1/8 of an inch or so. My first impression was good. It feels better on the sit bones. I may actually move it another fraction. I made it to the top of OTR in good average time. There was a headwind going up Highline. I zipped around the Buffalo neighborhood after reaching the top. I was near max. I hopped on Highline for the return. I was listening to a song and i guessed it would take to the end of it to reach the top. I was ahead of my prediction. The OTR descent was enjoyable. I pushed over Mariposa and then to the top of Weston where I shut it down.
Concentration was good. I had stuff to think about. I has minimal lapses, no gremlins. Balance and form was good. I like the new saddle position, being bit forward, no height adjustment. Ailments were minimal. Just some minor hand numbness. Nutrition was good. I had a bowl of oatmeal and half a banana for breakfast. Then the other half of the banana before departing. I had some grapes too. Gear worked flawlessly. Other notes, I saw a familiar recumbent cyclist.
