Today's weather continues to be great. Cool 70's and winds winds from the North West. The legs felt good from the start. I made it to the end of OTR in good time. I headed out to WS. The legs felt real good on the mile climb. I spun my way down the mountain and headed to WS. Doing mostly moderate tempo. After reaching WS, I headed back, no hesitation. I kept in mind that it would take about 2 to 3 minutes before I could settle into a sustainable pace. I kept my mind occupied and noting the landmarks. Sometimes estimating the ETAs. The wind wasn't too severe, so I was able to sustain a good pace. Usually over 15 MPH. After reaching Tucker, I estimated the time and distance to the summit. I estimated 1 mile and 7 minutes to reach the summit. My calculations were correct. Within one tenth of a mile and 30 seconds in duration. I was pushing it over the top reaching max HR over the summit. I made my way down and then back to Banducci. From there it was mostly fun and games through OTR and home. Concentration was good. I kept my thoughts active, but not overly so. I had few lapses in concentration. Balance and form was good. I was able to ride no-handed when nearing WS, when the wind wasn't turbulent. Ailments consisted of some hand soreness. A hint of left hip soreness. Mild right knee soreness. All of which subsided or mitigated via stretching. Gear worked flawless. Other notes, I saw 4 or 5 casual cyclists today while riding on Highline.
