It's a bit warmer. About 80-ish degrees. Winds from the North West. The legs felt average to start. I think they were a bit heavy from the previous double. I kept the tempo easy today. Doing less than average to the top of OTR. The outbound to WS was enjoyable. Mostly moderate tempo. No red-lining over the summit. After reaching the turn-around point, I headed back. No hesitation. I had a headwind at this point. But it was moderate. I could tell that it was going to be a faster than average return. I kept the tempo steady. Averaging about 15 MPH. I was able to push it over the top. Putting my weight all the way to the front and out of the saddle. I was able to hold it to the very top of the brief climb. From there, it was the usual grind to Banducci, then OTR. Fun and games after that. Concentration was good. Few lapses. Balance and form felt good. Ailments... I have a sore right shoulder/collar bone. It wasn't detracting on the bike. My right knee showed hints of pain. It never escalated. Gear worked flawless. The bike is silent now. I've determined that the noises I was experiencing over the past couple weeks were due to the headset. Since cleaning it out and repacking it, the noises have gone away. I reinstalled the Dura Ace skewer. No difference in noises. In fact, probably better with it back on the bike. Other notes, I saw a tow plane at WS, but no glider. I saw 1 other cyclist today.
