Best format for turn-by-turn directions on modern Garmin Edge Devices
Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.
Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.
Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.

The weather has cooled off. It was around 60 degrees when I departed. Winds from the South East. I wore arms, knees, head cap, thick base layer and some newspaper in the jersey. The legs were slightly heavy to start. I made it to the summit of OTR in good average time. There was a headwind on the way up Highline. I zipped around the Buffalo neighborhood and then back to Highline for the return. I decided to add the Banducci Summit. I had a nice tailwind on the way up. After reaching the summit, I pulled over to recover. I let traffic by and then headed back down the mountain. It was safe. There was minimal traffic mitigation. Descending off the Banducci Wall was mostly safe, I feathered the brakes to keep things under control. The descent off OTR was relaxing. I pushed over Mariposa and then to the top of Weston where I shut it down.
Concentration was good. I had stuff to think about. The morale was good. Balance and form was good. Ailments were minimal. Nutrition was good. I had a bowl of oatmeal and a few grapes for breakfast. I drank more than half my sport drink. Gear worked flawlessly. Other notes, no cyclists today.
