The weather has let up a bit. I told myself, that if the wind was going the opposite way, that I'd go to WS. That's what I did. I got the clothing right. Arms, Knees, base layer, and I brought my skull cap. Short gloves, double socks. The legs felt pretty good from the start. I bought some new music recently and was able to get it to play via bluetooth, from my smartphone to the portable speaker. It kept me company. I was sufficiently warmed up by the end of OTR. I forgot to check the time when I got there, but it felt like I did good time. The outbound, was more or less, what I expected. Into a significant headwind. I was doing less than 15MPH, most of the way out to WS. The new music helped the miles tick over. I had to stop at the top of Highline to put on my skull cap. So glad that I brought it. I was eager to head back. When I reached the turn-around, I headed back, no stopping. The miles went quick. Like I was thinking. About 50% faster on the way back. I put in some good digs over the last kickers. The descent, following, was a treat. Reaching over 40 MPH. From there, I made my way back to Banducci. Stopped to swap out GoPro batteries. From there, it was fun and games down OTR, a push over Mariposa and then back home. Concentration was good for the most part. A few lapses on Highline. Balance and form was good. Ailments, next to none. Gear worked flawless. The GoPro had no problems restarting the record session after swapping out batteries. I used the Sandisk SD card. Will have to confirm on the next ride. Other notes, no other cyclists today, one runner.
