I got up around 8:00AM ish today. The weather was warm, about 80 something when I got out the door around 9:30ish. My legs felt ok, but the heat set into my body right away, making it feel like I was out on the road for an hour in the first 5 minutes. I was able to cruise it to the end of OTR. Banducci was more of a challenge in today's weather. I had to be real careful about overheating or blowing up. I made it to the top of Banducci in around 36 minutes or so. Faster than I anticipated. The downhill was mostly fun and games and the wind was a welcoming sensation. I think I hit over 43MPH on the downhill. The farmlands, on the way out, was a little faster than usual. I think the wind was less severe than the previous Tour de Teh ride. I was struggling a little on the SS modest climb. Come to think of it, I was struggling on all the climbs. It was the heat. I can't stand riding in the heat. When I reached WTR on the way back, I decided to put in some extra miles by going to the top of WTR. Overall, I'd say today was a good average ride. My concentration was good for the most part. No serious lapses and minimal gremlins. Ailments consisted of saddle soreness, right knee (sharp) pain that came and went on a few occasions. Right hand numbness. Left hip soreness while climbing WTR. Balance was ok, not great. I think I was favoring one side more than the other. The wind was factor as usual, fighting against the lean into the wind. Gear is working nominally.
