Best format for turn-by-turn directions on modern Garmin Edge Devices
Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.
Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.
Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.

The weather was great today. I think I got out around 10:30ish. I slept in an extra hour after breakfast. The winds were from the North-West and the temperature around 75ish. I wore the basic kit. I felt pretty good from the start. It didn't take much time to get warmed up. I made it to the top of the descent in around 11 minutes. I wasn't pushing, so that was a good average time. The descent was mostly fun and games. After reaching the base of the climb, I started modest. My legs felt pretty good, so I was able to lift the tempo just a bit until I got to the tough parts. I held a tempo of no less than moderate through out the climb and I got out of the saddle frequently. Concentration was spot on, my mind wasn't deviating much from my focus. Balance and form was good. Ailments consisted of some minor saddle soreness and right hand numbness. Gear is working flawless. Other notes, I saw a Red Tail Hawk as I started the return climb. I pulled over to take a photo, but it flew away before I could get a shot off.
