It's on the cool side. Around 50-ish degrees. I wore the standard kit with arms and knees. I probably could have used a cap, but decided against it. Today was a recovery ride. The right knee feels a bit sore. Made for a good day to go to the Walmart Bike Path n back. Other than the right knee being slightly sore, I felt pretty good. I didn't bother to check the time at the end of OTR. No better than average time, by my guess. The wind as headed east. So, I had a tailwind on the way up Highline. After making it to the Walmart bike path, I took it easy and made my way to the end. I headed back without stopping. No more than moderate tempo. When I arrived at Highline, as expected, I had a headwind. The climb to the top was more of a patience game. I was keeping distracted by listening to my music. Definitely made the minutes go by faster. While I was nearing the last 10 minutes, I was feeling a bit on the light headed side. Perhaps a bit of hunger knock and wind chill. I made it back without bonking. Concentration was good. I had a few things to think about. Today was a relaxed ride, so no pressure. Ailments, the right upper knee is a bit sore. I raised my saddle by about 1/2 and inch. I think it helped. It's still mildly sore, but I can get around fine. Definitely didn't make it worse. Balance and form felt good. Gear worked perfect, although the bike is starting to creak while in 10th or 11th gear. Nutrition was good. As said, I was feeling a bit of hunger knock on the last 5 to 10 minutes of the ride. Other notes, no cyclists out there today, but I did see some parked at the beginning of the Walmart bike path. They appeared to be departing.
