Great weather out. In the upper 70's. Cool air. I wore my new arm coolers for the first time. They worked like a charm! I was debating whether to go to Keene or the Alpine Forest. The decision was based on the wind conditions. I decided to go to the Alpine Forest since the wind was headed in that direction. The legs felt pretty good to start. I made it to the end of OTR in good average time. There was minimum traffic mitigation going up the Banducci Wall. I was max over the top. The Alpine Forest Arosa climb went quick. Perhaps it was the slight tailwind assisting me. I was near max going over the top. I made my way around the backside and then to the Banducci summit. I pulled over to take a breather and then headed back down the mountain. The wind conditions were turbulent. While descending off the wall, I decided to head up the summit of Highline to add some extra miles and climbing for the legs. When I reached the summit, I observed the wind mills at Willow Springs. They indicated that the wind was heading West. Very unusual. I turned around and headed back from there. As I was making my way back to OTR, I experienced a puncture in the front tire. I rode it out OTR where there was a safe place to stop and fix it. It took between 10 to 15 minutes of my time. After fixing it, I got back on the road and completed the ride. The legs felt mushy after losing all that warmth. Concentration was good. I had a few things to think about, the morale felt good. Balance and form was good. Ailments, the right knee was cooperating today. Gear worked perfect despite the flat tire. Nutrition was good. No hunger signs. I think I had over half my Gatorade, no water. Other notes, no other cyclists out there today.
