Today was an unusual day. I planned on riding in the early afternoon, but my stomach didn't agree. I ate some waffles with too much maple syrup, then my stomach started to complain for a few hours. Fortunately, I got better before the end of noon. So, I went riding with Roger to the Keene n Back. I felt good, considering, that the past few hours, I felt miserable. My legs were with me the whole way. We cruised the downhill and went our own pace on the ascent. I felt really good, concentration, balance and strength was right on. The only ailments were my lower back, which ever so slightly became sore towards the top. Adjusted my position and I was fine. I put some more WD-40 on the right pedal and retightened the front skewer after I heard it creeking just a few hundred yards into the ride. After that, the bike worked perfectly, no noises, except the gingling of whatever was loose in my bag and pockets. GPS is working great. GoPro is working good, but locked up in the beginning of the ride. Reseating the battery did the trick, and I had no other problems with it for the remainder of the ride. We saw a bobcat today just up the road past Weston. Also, there was a chopper that took off at the bottom of Keene. Weather was great at this time of day. It helped on the acsent. Unlike the past few weeks which felt like a pressure cooker going up that climb.
I made it to the top of the climb in 1:05 hours. I think I could have made it home in under 1:10.
