Estimated Time shows a prediction of how long it would take you to ride a given route. This number is based on your recent riding history, and represents an estimate of moving time. Each time you upload a new ride, your Estimated Time profile will adjust to reflect your most recent riding. Only rides exceeding 10 miles (16 km) will affect these estimates.

Today's weather was like a day at the beach. A cool breeze, in the upper 60's. Winds from the north west. There were two parts of today's ride. First, the ride itself. Second, I got my new clamp-on water bottle holder. I tried putting it on the rear stay, but that didn't work. I ended up installing it the front fork. I was skeptical at first. Thinking that it would make an imbalance. To my surprise, I hardly noticed that it was there. So, in short, it's going to work for my extended ride. Now for the ride itself.... I felt good from the start. It didn't take much time till I was sufficiently warmed up. I stopped a few times to adjust the new water bottle cage. So, I kind of ditched the overall time. I felt good going over the Banducci wall. No digs. Mostly good tempo to the summit from there. I took a breather once I reached the summit, let traffic go by, and continued the downhill. Practicing my tuck all the while. I cruised my way through the farmlands, doing moderate tempo most of the way. I stretched just before the last climb to the back entrance to SS. After the downhill and into SS, I kept the tempo high. Let up on the last stretch to Banducci. From there , kept the tempo moderate and above. The trek through the farmlands was mostly moderate to good tempo. The last climb was more of the same, I started moderate and kicked to good towards the last mile. I recovered on the false flat and made my way back to OTR. I didn't push hard over Mariposa but I kept my momentum going. From there it was cruising back home. Today's concentration was the better of things. I was in the zone for a good majority of the ride. No gremlins today. Ailments were next to none. Some lower back soreness, mitigated by stretching. No signs of leg cramping. Some minor left hip soreness that remained modest at worst. Balance and form felt good. Gear is working well. The new bottle setup is going to work perfect. Other notes, I saw 3 other cyclists today, including Bob.
