Estimated Time shows a prediction of how long it would take you to ride a given route. This number is based on your recent riding history, and represents an estimate of moving time. Each time you upload a new ride, your Estimated Time profile will adjust to reflect your most recent riding. Only rides exceeding 10 miles (16 km) will affect these estimates.

Today's weather was good, but not for a SS, R ride. The winds were from the south east. As soon as I got out, I noticed the unfavorable wind conditions. I decided to omit the SS loop from the ride. I felt good going out the door. My legs felt fresh. It didn't take much time to get warmed up. By the time I reached the end of OTR (in good time), I was ready for the Banducci wall. I spared no time and put in a good effort over the wall. Given that the ride was abridged, I decided to put down good to high tempo on the remainder of the climb, with a good dig over the top. Once at the summit, I took a breather then headed downhill. The wind was turbulent, so I was more cautious than normal on the downhill. After reaching the base, I made my way to Pelliser in good time, with the aid of the, then, tailwind. The remainder of the ride was mostly into the headwind. I was struggling to hold 15MPH going north. The Westerly legs were worse. I was in my 25T/28T and sometimes 32T. I tried to remain as efficient as possible. Not getting out of the saddle as much. The benefit wasn't enough to counteract the aerodynamic disadvantage of being out of the saddle. I did moderate to good tempo up the last climb. Put in a moderate dig over the top and recovered on the false flat. Route 202 was mostly traffic mitigation. OTR was a welcome relief, I was able to relax and recoup. Somewhere before this, I decided to add WTR summit. An addition 2 to 3 miles. When I got on WTR I was able to lift the pace to high tempo as I had a nice tailwind. I was pushing hard with a good dig to the summit. The return trip was mostly warm down mode. This was pretty much more of the same back to the door. Concentration was good. I had some things to think about, so I was occupied. No real gremlins to worry about. Just some passing hecklers and such as usual. Ailments consisted of some right hand numbness and lower back soreness, none of which detracted from my tempo. The return trip felt like I was climbing for 7 or 8 miles nonstop from the headwind. No wonder my back was complaining. Balance and form felt good. I was on top of the pedals and I felt square on the bike. Gear is working well. I need to oil the chain for the next ride. Other notes, no other cyclists. On my way up WTR two cars almost collided. I got it on video...
