Estimated Time shows a prediction of how long it would take you to ride a given route. This number is based on your recent riding history, and represents an estimate of moving time. It snowed over the weekend, so the roads have been unrideable. I did an indoor training session. I chose the "Mountain" course. It was the same region as the previous ride. Before starting, I hooked up the computer and monitor. Put it into "Watch" mode and got ready. When I got my clothes on, I checked the computer. It was exhibiting the same issues as before. Intermittent outage and tearing. I'll have to diagnose it later. Now for the ride... I warmed up for about 15 minutes before increasing the tempo. It took somewhere in the ballpark of 20 minutes before I started to perspire. I did the same course as the previous ride, but in reverse. It was equally difficult, and took over 30 minutes to reach the summit. Maximum gradients reaching above 10%. My tempo was steady. Out of the saddle frequently. It was nice to see other riders out there dishing it out. I was able to keep up with most. The climb had some downhill sections, so I use them to recover. By the time I reached the summit, I was nearing 150bpm HR, and pushing over 4wpkg. I felt good. My lower back is doing much better. No serious pains, nor hindering. My concentration was spot on. The simulator really captivates my attention, in a good way. Ailments consisted of left upper quad soreness that was mild and was present prior to the start of the training session. Gear worked great, disregarding the external monitor issue. Other notes, I think I got 11th place over the summit. There were around 700 riders today.
