It’s windy outside, otherwise, the weather is great. I was a bit reluctant to get out of bed after my nap. I managed to get up. The wind was turbulent. I wore arms, knees, long sleeve jersey and a head cap. I was perfectly comfortable. I made it to the end of OTR in good average time. The Banducci Climb went quick. There was minimal traffic mitigation. I felt good going up Arosa. I was practicing patience. I was near max going over the top. I made my way around the backside. I was riding with caution on the dips. The wind didn’t permit going fast. From there, I headed to the summit and took a few moments rest. I let traffic by and then headed back down the mountain. The wind was strong and turbulent, so I was on high alert. I kept an eye on traffic and let them by as best I could. Descending off the Banducci Wall was no fun. I was riding the brakes all the way down while keeping an eye on traffic from behind. When I made it back to OTR, I was able to relax a bit. I pushed over Mariposa and shut it down when I reached the top of Weston.
Concentration was good. I had a few things to think about. Balance and form was good. Ailments were minimal. Perhaps a hint of groin soreness, some hand numbness. The knees were good. Nutrition was good. No hunger signs. I went through most of the sport drink. Gear worked flawless. Other notes, no cyclists out there today. The motorists were cooperative.
