It continues to rain. Another one for Zwift. My left foot exhibited pains when I worked out yesterday. I was a bit worried it would persist. Fortunately, it did not! I chose the Watopia Mountain Route. The first 10 minutes warmup felt good. The left foot / ankle cooperated, as did the right knee that I dinged the other day. I had two Halo Replays going. One for the route, and the other for the timed climbing segment. I was able to keep both in my sights. I was doing 3 W/kg + or - for the duration of the climb. I was out of the saddle most of the time and in the saddle to hydrate and recover. The climb went quick. After reaching the tunnel, the morale got better. I kept the tempo going over the top while staying out of the saddle. I was near maximum going over the top. I finished in the top half. From there, it was the bonus climb. I put it in the easy gears and grinded away. I had my route Halo Replay in front of me. It beat me by about 20 or 30 seconds. After that, I headed back into town. I recovered on the descent and kept my tempo going when I reached mainland. I put in a good dig through the sprint segment. My right inner thigh was a bit sore when I was pushing it. I had my eyes on it. It didn't escalate. I feel fine now. After making it back to the finish, i shut it down and cooled down for about 5 minutes. I let the HR go down to 112 BPM and then hopped off. Concentration was good. Minimal lapses and gremlins. Balance and form felt good. Without the presence of ailments, I was better able to adjust myself over the bike. Gear worked flawless. Nutrition was good. No hunger sings. I went through most of my sport drink. Other notes, there were about 15,000 riders on the Watopia map when I hopped on.
