I got up, had breakfast and took a 10 minute nap. When the alarm went off, I thought I put it on snooze. Suffice it to say, I got up later then I would have liked. Although, it turned out that the weather was nice when I got out. It was in the 70's, mild winds from the North West. The legs felt good to start. I made it to the summit of OTR in good time. The Banducci Wall had some traffic mitigation, otherwise went well. The Arosa climb was quick. I settled into a tempo doing in and out of the saddle efforts. I was near maximum going over the top. I made my way around the backside and had fun on the descent. From there, I made my way to the summit of Banducci. I pulled over to recover, hydrate, let traffic by and then headed back down the mountain. There was some traffic mitigation from behind, so I was being cautious. Descending off the Banducci Wall was mostly safe. I let traffic by before descending. I feathered my brakes on the way down. Descending off of OTR was mostly fun and games. I pushed over Mariposa and shut it down at the top of Weston.
Concentration was good. I had stuff to think about and the morale felt good. Ailments were minimal. Just the occasional hand numbness. The knees and muscles felt good. Balance and form was good. Nutrition was good. No hunger signs. I drank about half my sport drink and a bit of water. Gear worked flawlessly. I adjusted the cleats, less toe in. The toe out feels good. Other notes, I saw about 3 cyclists today.
