The weather is great. I got out at around 8:30-ish in the morning. It was around 70 something when I got out. Mild winds from the North West. The legs felt good to start. It didn't take much time to get warmed up. I got a new replacement saddle that I mounted yesterday. I got it right on the money. I measured the distance between the nose of the saddle and the stem. It worked like a charm with no guessing. I forgot to bring an extra baggie of powder drink, but I brought an extra bottle in my saddle. It turned out that I didn't need the powder drink. I made it to the summit of OTR in good average time. The Banducci Climb had some traffic mitigation. I was near max going over the top. I recovered on the false flat and made my way to the summit. I pulled over to recover, let traffic by, hydrate, take a look at the GoPro battery. Shortly after, I headed down the mountain. There was minimal traffic and the mild wind conditions made for a safe and fast descent. The trek to SS was quick. I was doing 20 MPH + or - to the entrance. I took a few moments to stretch on the bike before doing the climb around the backside. After reaching the backside entrance, made my way to the downhill. I put in a good sprint and reached 42 MPH in the tuck. Lots of fun! I took a quick bio at the local park and got back on the road. I went through the tunnel in about 1:04 hours, by my estimation. I stopped at the local mini mart and filled my drinking bottle with the water bottle I had in the saddle bag. I had some powder drink remaining, so I ended up diluting it. I had a Clif Bar, so the plan was to feed if I got hunger signs. Once done, I got back on the road. The trek through the farmlands was steady and went relatively quick. I passed Boss Hogs in about 1:27 minutes. So, I gave up about 3 to 4 minutes. I stopped just before the last climb to swap out the GoPro battery and redo the velcro strap on the saddle bag. After that, I got back on the road and completed the last climb. It was mostly no less then moderate tempo. I kept the tempo going over the top. I recovered on the flatter segment and made my way to Route 202. Route 202 had some traffic mitigation, so I let as many cars by and then merged with traffic. I put in a quick sprint to get to the left turn lane before the traffic from behind caught up. After reaching OTR, it was mostly fun and games. I pushed over Mariposa and shut it down at the top of Weston.
Concentration was good with minimal lapses or gremlins. Balance and form was good. Ailments were minimal. Some mild hand soreness or numbness. Nutrition was good. No hunger signs. I completed the ride consuming two bottles of mostly sport drink. Gear worked flawlessly. The cleat position is working well. I'll keep it the way it is. Other notes, I saw about 3 cyclists. One was a casual e-biker.
