The weather has let up. It was in the low 70's when I got out. Air was nice and cool, from the North West. Perfect for a day to Keene. The legs felt good to start. I made it to the summit of the descent in good average time. I cruised the downhill. I put two digs on the risers. As I was making my way to the summit, there was a rider from behind that passed me. He appeared to be my better. I made it to the base in good time. I headed back without delay. The return felt good. The air was still cool. The temperature was nice. The landmarks went quick. I had stuff to think about, so it kept me in the zone. I was doing no less then moderate tempo. I adjusted the angle of my handlebars yesterday. So, it is more upright. It feels better. Will have to see how it does in the next week of riding. I kept my tempo going over the summit. After making it there, I took a few moments to recover on the bike and then headed back home. I pushed to the top of Weston and shut it down.
Concentration was good. My patience was in check. The morale felt good, especially with the good weather! Balance and form felt good. Ailments were minimal. Some mild hand numbness while out of the saddle. It felt less then before, but the cooler weather may have helped. Nutrition was good. No hunger signs, I went through most of my sport drink, no water. Gear worked flawlessly. My arm coolers continue to be a hassle, having to pull them up my arms every few minutes. Will try the magnet trick the next time out. Other notes, there was one cyclist (as mentioned).
