Today was a typical spring day. Great weather. Winds from the north. I got out earlier today than the previous rides. I forgot to turn on the GPS, so there is an adjusted time. I started at about 12:34 PM. So, that's a discrepancy of about 2 minutes. My legs were a bit heavy out the door, but came around by the time I got to the top of the descent. The winds were fairly strong, so I just put it into cruise control till I reached the bottom of Keene. I felt good on the ascent, no real ailments. I think my right hand went a bit numb, but so slight, that it's hardly worth mentioning. My back was a bit sore after reaching the summit. I was able to keep my concentration in the zone. I was working mostly on my balance. So, I was focusing on creating a horizontal line in front of me, and trying to keep my legs perpendicular to it. I did modest tempo at the least and good tempo for the majority of the climb. My legs felt good, so I was able to keep the tempo high and getting out of the saddle to keep my momentum. The bike is working well, I think it was creaking less today. Just a foot-note, I weighed in around 144 lbs before departing. I anticipate that I won't gain much more weight. Needless to say, I really didn't notice any difference. Likely because I gained muscle.
