The weather was very unusual today. It was 50 degrees with wind conditions from the North-West. When I stepped out the door for a weather check, it seemed like it was cold enough for arms and knees. My original plan was to where that much plus 1 base layer. As I was about to get ready, I decided to put on 1 extra base layer and my skull cap. When I got out the door and rode up to the top of WTR, I realized that I had put on way too much clothes. I removed my knee warmers before the descent, as well as my skull cap. I soft-pedaled most of the descent, only picking up the pace when there was traffic behind. At that point, my legs felt fresh. When I reached Keene, I removed my arm warmers and commenced with the climb. My legs felt good today. I was on top of the pedals most of the time. My balance was good on the ascent, and so so after reaching the summit riding and the last downhill. I had good concentration for the entire ride. Ailments were minimal. I think my lower back was hinting a bit of soreness by the time I was near the summit. My pace was moderate to good for the entire ascent. I got out of the saddle when I felt my momentum was fading. My weight is around 145lbs and steady. I lost about 1 pound of water after weighing in. Gear is working well, no problems there. Although, there was a little more creaking than usual. Other notes, I spotted 4 deer when I was near the summit. I stopped and pointed my gopro camera at them. I think I got 2 or 3 dozen HD photos.
