It's getting warmer, but still comfortable weather to ride. I got out a bit earlier than the last ride. My legs felt pretty good going out the door. I think I made it to the top of the descent in about 10 minutes or less. I cruised the downhill and brought the tempo to just a bit higher than moderate when I noticed a vehicle behind me. I was close enough to the Loop monument riser. So, I decided to push it till then. The car passed me as I had anticipated. I think I may have gained a minute or two from that little increase in effort. When I made it to the bottom of the descent, and turned around, I felt lethargic. It was an unusual feeling. As if I had not slept well overnight. In any case, I put in my mind that I was going to feel better as the climb progressed. This proved to be true. I wore one base layer and I had to unzip my jersey half way to stay cool. The temperature was cool enough that I could keep good tempo without overheating. My concentration was good, I focused on my balance for the greater part of the ride. I made some increases in tempo, but no major digs. My body responded well and I had few ailments. My right hand was slightly numb, I had a bit of pain somewhere in my lower extremity, I think around my knee. Given that I don't remember it well, it's almost not worth mentioning. The gear is working great. Pretty much flawless. Other notes, I saw 4 cyclists today. One going the opposite direction as I was making my way up WTR. And there were 3 others on their way down to Keene as I was climbing. A welcome surprise!
