Estimated Time shows a prediction of how long it would take you to ride a given route. This number is based on your recent riding history, and represents an estimate of moving time. Each time you upload a new ride, your Estimated Time profile will adjust to reflect your most recent riding. Only rides exceeding 10 miles (16 km) will affect these estimates.

Interesting day. Before I started the ride, I did the usual out the door weather check. The temperature felt like it was in the 70's. I decided to wear 1 base layer and arms. As I got out the door, the temperature was cooler. Likely from the wind conditions. The wind started from the south, turned north over Banducci, and then
back to south as I made the last mile home. My legs felt good from the start. I wasn't sure if I was going to do the entire Stallion Springs ride due to the wind conditions. My thinking was no, given that the wind was going north at the start of the ride. Since it changed direction when I reached the top of Banducci, I changed my mind. The wind continued to prevail from the west at that time, so I was all in. I held a tempo just above moderate as I was going through the farm lands. I kept a good tempo going around SS. I reached the tunnel around the 1 hour mark, and exit SS in around 1:06 or so. I cruised the return trip on Banducci and picked up the pace as I made the left hander onto Pelisser. I kept the tempo high as my body was responding well. I kept this pace going all the way to the top of CVR summit. I didn't make any serious digs, but I did push it a bit over SS and CVR. I recovered for a minute as I crested the last summit. The wind shifted a bit through the plateau, but I was able to keep the pace around 17mph. As usual, on the return from OTR, I kept the pace as high as I could while staying well within my limits. I noticed that I was on good time, so I pushed it a bit as I made my way through the last 3 or 4 miles. Concentration was good, I distinctly remember that I was zoned in on the new gear that I had and what I wanted to check after the ride. I started the Garmin LiveTrack app so that my parents could check in on my ride as I was doing it. So I was imagining in my mind what it looked like. When I got home, my parents were there to greet me as they mentioned the app worked flawless. Good to hear it! Ailments consisted of just general soreness here and there, stretching on the bike fixed that. Balance was good for the most part, some places had challenges, like going through some of the flats in the wind. Gear is working fantastic. My new GPS, Garmin Edge 810 worked flawless. I had the Charity app running at the same time and it appeared to track well. Other notes, I need to see how the Live Tracking affects the battery on my bike computer and the smartphone. On this ride, the smartphone lost about 30% charge since the start of the ride. The Edge 810 was around 88%. This includes Bluetooth enabled. The tracking files are now in the activities folder in the G (SD card) drive. The files have the .fit extension. I copied all of the previous ride metrics on the "Old History" folder.
