The weather is great! In the mid 60's or so. Winds from the North West, a bit turbulent. The legs were a bit sore today, from the get-go. I think it has to do partially due to the saddle height, being raised a bit. I'm guessing the soreness will go a way in a couple more rides. I made it to the summit of OTR in good time. I was pulling over to the side of the road to take mobile wifi readings on my new smart phone. This way, I'll know what to expect when I'm out and about, in Tehachapi. Turns out that the signal is much stronger on the outskirts. I made my way out to WS. The wind was moderate, somewhat of a tail-cross. I reached the turn-around and headed back. Again, taking readings every few miles. I was in no hurry, so it was ideal. I was averaging over 15 MPH on the way back, so it went quick. I was listening to the music and guessing where I'd be at the summit of Highline. When I reached Banudcci, I pulled over to check the battery on the GoPro. It was under 20%, so I decided to swap batteries out. From there it was non-stop to home. Concentration was good. Despite hints of gremlins on the road. Balance and form was good. I can get used to the raised saddle height. Ailments, general quad soreness. Not too detracting from the ride. Gear worked perfect. I'm going to swap out the battery compartment for a new one, as it is showing signs of giving up. I had to throw on an extra battery to keep the GPS charged. It was at 1% when I was about to depart. Not sure what happened there. Nutrition was good. No hunger pains. I drank about 1/3 of my Accelerade. I had a few sips of water. Other notes, I saw about 3 cyclists. No gliders today.
