Estimated Time shows a prediction of how long it would take you to ride a given route. This number is based on your recent riding history, and represents an estimate of moving time. Each time you upload a new ride, your Estimated Time profile will adjust to reflect your most recent riding. Only rides exceeding 10 miles (16 km) will affect these estimates.

The weather was supposed to be in the upper 80's. I got up around 6:45-ish. I had breakfast and took an hour nap. After hitting the snooze button a few times, I got up and got ready. I wore the standard kit. The wind was about what it usually is, from the north-west. My legs felt a little heavy to start, but got better just as quick. As I was making a left onto Mariposa, there were about 5 or 6 other cyclists ahead of me. Probably a good 500 yards or so. It looked like they were cruising along at a brisk pace. No clue where they were headed, other than the same direction as I was going. I kept my distance until the first riser on OTR. I picked up the pace and passed them with a friendly greeting. Those were the only cyclists I saw for today's ride. With the added incentive of having the cyclists behind me, I had some added incentive to keep the pace high. I was pushing pretty hard today. I gave it a dig over the Banducci wall. The usual recover through the false flat and then moderate tempo for the remainder of the climb. I took a 1 minute break at the summit and had mostly fun and games to the valley below. I kept the tempo no less than moderate up to SS. Upon reaching the back way to SS, I reduced the pace just a bit. No serious digs other than keeping my momentum going. I made my way out of SS in good average time. Cruised the return on Banducci. After making the left on Pelliser, I increased the tempo slightly. The last climb was moderate. From that point it was mostly fun and games till I reached WTR. I decided to add a few extra miles by climbing to the top of WTR. The wind was stronger at this point and I had a good headwind to the summit. The descent was a lot of fun, reaching almost 40mph. Ailments consisted of right hand numbness, some soreness in the right knee on the last 3 or 4 miles of the ride, some saddle soreness. Concentration was mostly good. Some distractions, but nothing to detract from the pace I was setting. Balance and form was good today. I was able to adjust my position, stretch often, etc. Gear is working well. No problems there.
