It's raining as was predicted. I was ready for an indoor workout, and that 's what I did. I chose the Watopia Mountain Loop. I was having inner right knee soreness in the past week, so I've been experimenting with cleat positioning. I narrowed the stance from a few days ago. Before today's ride, I increased the heel out limiter. It seemed to help and felt more natural. It took a while to get warmed up for the climb. I think it was after the bridge that I started to get my climbing legs. I was trying to keep the out of the saddle wattage around 3 W/kg and above 2 while seated. I was alternating between both of them. The climb went as planned, but I was having signal problems with the trainer. I think the Ant+ receiver was too far from the trainer. It gave out about 3 or 4 times. I had to bring the TV forward to give that bit of an extra proximity. After that, I had no problems. I'll try Bluetooth on the next indoor ride. I was trying to match my previous time up the climb, but the problems I had with the trainer was a bit discouraging. I calculated that I lost about 15 to 20 seconds just fiddling with the hardware. Nonetheless, I got the workout that I wanted. From the summit, I headed up the KQOM bonus climb. The signal gave out on the climb at least twice. I think this is where I pulled the TV closer. I was able to relax a bit on the downhill. Doing some stretching along the way. I was doing the numbers in the head, trying to guess how much time it would take to reach the finish. It kept me occupied and focused. I put in a good dig through the sprint zone. Reaching over 7 W/kg. It was fun. The trainer took every once of power I was putting in the pedals. I had plenty of gears and was nowhere near spinning out. From there, I made my way to the finished and cooled down for a few minutes. Concentration was good. I was a bit discouraged about the signal problem. Other than that, the morale felt pretty good. Balance and form was good. Ailments, some left hand numbness. Gear problems, the signal outages. Otherwise no other issues. Nutrition was good. I had about half my Gatorade and no water. Other notes, there were about 5000 riders at the start of the ride.
