Another great spring day. Temperature in the mid 70's. Cool winds from the north. I wore the standard kit, with 1 base layer. I felt good going out the door. I took it easy to the top of the descent. Increasing the tempo on the last few hundred yards. The downhill was mostly soft pedaling. I wasn't keeping track of the time when I reached the base. I spared no time and resumed the climb. My legs felt good for the first mile, so I was able to hold good tempo for most of the climb. Pushing over the loop monument. From there, I did mostly good tempo, dropping to moderate here and there. Today was a relatively good day for ailments, nearly none. Concentration was the lesser today. I just couldn't get it into lock down from the bottom of the descent. As I was descending, my mind was wandering and the gremlins just walked in. Nevertheless, I was able to hold it together and coach my way to the summit. Ailments consisted of slight right hand numbness and a hint of left calf soreness. Like I said, today was a good day for ailments (lack there of). Balance and form felt good, I tried to use that as my focal point. Gear is working great. Other notes, no cyclists today.
