I was going to visit the bank today, but decided I didn't have enough time, so I went for a bike ride instead. The wind was From the South East, so a good day to head out to Willow Springs. In addition, I added the Alpine Forest. The legs felt pretty good to start. I made it to the summit of OTR in good time. The way out to WS was into a headwind. I kept the tempo steady and tried to avoid the debris in the road. After reaching the turn-around, I was able to relax a bit and let the tailwind help a bit. I kept the tempo going over the mile climb. The descent heading to Banducci was a treat. The pavement is much better. The Banducci Wall had some traffic mitigation. I was relieved when I reached Arosa. I was able to put it into an easier gear and let the legs return from the effort. After about 5 minutes, I was settled into a tempo that I held till the top of Arosa. The climb went reasonably fast in the mind. I was near max over the top. I made my way around the backside and then to the Banducci summit. I took a few moments rest, swapped the GoPro battery and then headed back down the mountain. Around this time, my sit-bones were getting a bit sore. I think the chamois was absorbing water faster than it could evaporate. I'm wanting to try another brand of shorts to confirm. I did the grind up Mariposa and then shut it down once I reached the top of Weston. Concentration was good, not great. Some lapses here and there. Some hints of gremlins along the way. Nutrition was good. I went through my Gatorade by the time I reached the Banducci summit. I was drinking water after that. No signs of hunger knock. Balance and form was good. Ailments, the left sit-bone. Then a bit of both towards the last 15 minutes. Gear worked perfect. Other notes, I saw 2 e-bike cyclists on the way back from WS. There was a glider being towed nearing WS.
Other notes, the Power meter and cadence sensor is working again after swapping out the battery.
