I got up a bit earlier today. By about 30 to 40 minutes. I planned on this, because I wanted to head to WS before the wind picked up. Turns out that the wind was mild, somewhat from the South East. The legs felt pretty good to start. I felt a bit better in patience. I made it to the summit of OTR in good average time. After reaching the summit of OTR, I headed towards WS. It was more or less what I expected. The wind was mild. The music helped stave off concentration lapses. As I was making my way out, I was starting to get hunger signs, so I decided to feed half l a Clif Bar when I reached the end of WS. I noticed I was consuming my fluids faster than normal. The plan was to drink more often, but less quantity. The rationale was to stay topped off. The return from WS went pretty quick. Aided by a modest tailwind. I made my way to the summit of Highline and onto the Banducci Wall. It had minimal traffic mitigation, so I was able to concentrate on the task at hand. After reaching the top of the wall, I took a few moments to recoup on the false flat. The remainder of the climb was no less than moderate tempo, all the while keeping an eye on traffic. After reaching the summit of Banducci, I pulled over to recover and feed the remainder of the Clif Bar. I had about a quarter bottle of fluids remaining. It was enough to get me home without troubles. I let traffic by and then headed back down the mountain. The descent off the Banducci Wall was a treat. Reaching 41 MPH in my tuck. When I got back to OTR, I realized that I forgot to restart the GoPro camera. It upset me because I was telling myself while feeding the Clif Bar at the summit of Banducci, that I wouldn't forget, or at least try not to. I guess I just forgot... Nevertheless, I had a fun time descending down OTR. I pushed over Mariposa and then up to the top of Weston. I shut it down and cooled down for a couple minutes or so. Concentration was good. I had minimal lapses. There were some gremlins, nothing I couldn't handle. Balance and form was good. Ailments, some right hand numbness during extended out of the saddle efforts. Nutrition was the lesser of things. I was having hunger signs as I reached the top of OTR. I ended up feeding my Clif Bar during the ride. Gear worked flawless. Other notes, I think I saw one cyclist today.
